Introduction
InvestingIn this module, you’ll learn how investing helps your money grow over time, how it differs from saving and how to make informed investment decisions.
You don’t have to be ‘rich’ to invest, but there are a few steps to take before you begin.
You probably have a number of questions like:
Isn’t it better and less risky to save?, How much money do I need to start investing?
What can I invest in?
Could I invest deployment lump sums or allowances?
Can investing help me build financial security after service?
People invest for lots of different reasons. Some want security after service, others are saving for children or family needs, and some are aiming for early retirement or more stability later in life. Whatever your motivation, understanding how investing works can help you make informed decisions about your future.
There are eight short videos in this series on investing, explaining the different types of investments, how risk and diversification work, the platforms you can use, and the role of economic factors. All to help you make confident, informed choices about your money.
The goal isn’t to tell you what to invest in. It’s to give you the information you need to make confident choices about saving and investing, so you can build a financial future that works for you.
